The New KESSEL ‚ME Floor Drain’ – the New Engineered Solution

(Lenting,Germany - June 10, 2011) KESSEL has expanded its floor drain product range with the addition of the new KESSEL ‘ME Floor Drain’. This new System 100 drain offers multiple advantages which are seen at the specification and installation levels. The new ‘ME Floor Drain’ can be specified for connection to pipe according to both British and German standards. Additional advantages are the wide selection of System 100 drain covers for the ‘ME Floor Drain’ as well as the use of the drain in both private or commercial applications.

One drain for three standards

The KESSEL „ME Floor Drain“ can be used  for connection to multiple piping standards. The basic drain body is designed for BS 5255 connection and an adaptor set is available which offers a glued socket connection in size Ø50 und Ø75mm. An additional gasketed adapter set is also available for DIN 19560 gasketed push-fit connections. These options allow a single drain to be professionally used for connection to three different drainage standards!

Multiple options for planning and installation

The KESSEL ‘ME Floor Drain’ comes equipped with triple 2 inch (55mm OD) inlets and a 3 inch (82mm OD) outlet.  The multiple inlets allow various bathroom fixtures such as showers, bathtubs and sinks to all be connected to the single drain. The drain is also equipped with connection hooks which are especially helpful when the drain is being ‘hung’ from a concrete ceiling. Aesthetically the ME Floor Drain is also the perfect choice – all KESSEL System 100 drain covers can be used with this drain including the invisible drain cover, the LINEARIS shower channel as well as the award winning KesselDesign covers with Lock & Lift.
