- KESSEL AG presents numerous new products at BAU 2011
(Lenting, December 15th) The drainage specialist KESSEL is presenting numerous new and optimised products at the BAU 2011 in Munich. From January 17 to 22, fair visitors can find out all about these innovations in the segments backwater protection, drains and septic systems at Booth 331 in Hall A2.
Optimised backwater system offers increased flexibility
From now on, there is only one body with nine millimetres gradient available for all KESSEL backwater solutions – from the twin flap backwater valves Staufix SWA and FKA, the cleaning valve Controlfix to the backwater pumping station Pumpfix F. This body is suitable both for installation in the ground plate or for fitting into an exposed wastewater pipe. The outlet muffs can be removed – a great advantage for refurbishing work in particular – and can be combined as required. The following combinations are possible: pointed end/socket, socket/socket or pointed end/pointed end. In addition, the backwater products are now available up to nominal width Ø 200. The modular system typical for KESSEL provides craftsmen with significant installation advantages and allows retailers to reduce stocks and become more flexible.
Staufix FKA and Pumpfix F now available as comfort version
The “Komfort” versions of the twin flap backwater valves Staufix FKA and the backwater pumping station Pumpfix F are new. They are equipped with a plug-in switching unit – which means a qualified electrician is no longer required for connection work. A display increases ease of use. In addition, the backwater valves of the Pumpfix F Komfort are locked by a motor. The underground version also has an integrated draining function to keep water damage to a minimum in the event of flooding.
Yard drains made of Ecoguss
In the drains segment, KESSEL is presenting a yard drain made of the innovative material Ecoguss. This material combines the advantages of cast iron and plastic without the corrosion and weight problems typical of cast iron. The yard drain bodies are available in the nominal widths Ø 110 and Ø 125. All variants can also be combined with the upper cover section Ø 200 for a double sealing effect.
INNO-CLEAN+ septic system: installation and maintenance advantages
Another new product in the range is the septic system INNO-CLEAN+. A tank with only one dome and a purification tower guarantees even more convenience during installation and maintenance. Thanks to the dome, the system can now be serviced and connected compactly through one opening. All the connections are integrated centrally in the purification tower. The whole tower can be removed during repair work and replaced again – without tools being necessary. The septic system is suitable for cleaning classes C to D and is available with a tank volume of 6,000 or 9,000 litres. This allows the systems to be used in households with between four and ten people.
Refurbishment and retrofitting kit for multi-chamber cesspits
Conversion of old systems to the biological SBR purification method is easy using the new retrofit kit for existing multi-chamber cesspits; the kit is made up of three air siphons, an aerator spark plug, a compressor and a control unit. This increases purification performance from around 55 to 98 percent. KESSEL now offers a complete range of septic systems from new equipment to retrofit products for old systems.
